SAMARIA. Late 5th to late 4th century BC. M'h (Silver, 10 mm, 0.62 g, 3 h). Recumbent stag to right, head turned back to left; to left, 𐡔𐡋 ('šl' in Aramaic); all within linear square. Rev. Winged griffin seated to right; above, 𐡔𐡋 ('šl' in Aramaic); all within linear square. Jeselsohn -, cf. 101 (with head of Bes betwen the stag's antlers) and 104 (Half M'h). Meshorer & Qedar -, cf. 62 (with head of Bes betwen the stag's antlers) and 63 (Half M'h). Apparently unpublished without head of Bes on the obverse. Somewhat rough, otherwise, very fine.
